What is included in the riding holidays?
All our riding holidays include accommodation, three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), professional guides, well-trained horses, high-quality tack, and bottled water during rides. Prices are based on room sharing.

What is not included in the packages?
Flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, alcoholic beverages, and optional excursions are not included.

What riding experience do I need to join?
You must be confident at all paces including walk, trot, canter, and gallop in open spaces. We use English saddles. Helmets are strongly recommended. Novice riders may be accepted on select trips with prior agreement.

What are the payment terms?

• A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
• At 6 weeks prior to departure, a further 25% payment is due, bringing the total paid to 50% of the trip cost.
• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 21 days before the trip start date.
• Failure to complete payments by the stated deadlines may result in cancellation of the booking in accordance with our cancellation policy.

What happens if I cancel or need to change my trip?
We offer a travel credit voucher valid for 12 months. See our full cancellation policy for details.

Can I use a voucher to book a trip?
Yes, but vouchers are only valid for multi-day trips:

• $150 and $300 vouchers require a minimum group of 5 guests
• $500 vouchers require a full group booking unless approved by Pharaohs Journeys
• Only one voucher can be used per trip
• Vouchers are valid for 12 months and cannot be used for day trips

Do I need a visa and passport for Egypt?
Yes. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return. Tourist visas are $25 USD, payable in cash on arrival.

What’s the climate like and what should I pack?

• October–March (Winter): 18°C – 30°C by day, 8°C – 14°C at night
• April–Mid-September (Summer): 33°C – 43°C by day, 28°C – 32°C at night Light clothing, layers, and sun protection are essential.

What happens after I book?
You’ll receive:

1. A Rider Confirmation Form (for flights, dietary needs, emergency contacts, insurance, etc.)
2. A Welcome Pack (with packing guide, cultural tips, and arrival instructions)

Where do I meet my driver at the airport?
Our representative will greet you inside the Meet & Greet area within the terminal, before immigration and visa control, and personally assist you through the entire process to ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival.

Who do I contact in case of emergency?
Emergency contacts are listed in your Welcome Pack. 24/7 English-speaking support is available.

Is there a weight limit for riders?
For the safety and comfort of both our horses and riders, the weight limit per rider is 100 kg.

You can easily book your experience through our website or by contacting our reservations team for assistance.

Are there any entry fees to sites and museums?
All entry fees to the sites and museums listed in your chosen itinerary are already included in your package. This way, you can enjoy a seamless experience without the need to queue or purchase tickets separately. We include these costs to save you time and ensure maximum convenience throughout your journey. Please note that entry to additional sites not mentioned in the itinerary would be at your own expense.
